Two Kannada films, C/o Footpath 2 and Rangitaranga have made it to the list of 305 films that will be in contention for Oscar awards.

This is the first time Kannada films have reached this stage in the prestigious awards. The two films will be eligible to be voted for all nominations by the jury members.

India's official entry to Oscars, the Marathi film Court has failed to make the cut. Two other films from India, a Hindi and a Malayalam film has made it to the list of 305.

Rangitaranga is the debut of brothers Anup and Nirup Bhandari while COF2 is directed by
Kishan.
