Viraat was to be released in 2011 but didn't see the lime light due to financial issues raised. Chennai based Producer Kalyan has bought the rights of the film and managed to wrap up the shoot schedules finally.

Viraat is touted to be an action entertainer. Darshan will be seen romancing Isha Chawla, Chytra Chandranath and Vidisha in this movie. V Harikrishna is the music director and cinematography is by AV Krishnakumar. H Vasu is the director of this film. Viraat is scheduled to release for this Christmas.
